This Will be Heaven

"Where were you when . . . ?"  Most adults have at least one historical moment that they can think back to and answer that question.  Mine are the Challenger explosion and the attack of 9/11.  Many of us have enjoyed hearing parents, grandparents, or other people tell us stories that start with "I remember when . . ."  We want to know what it was like.  We love the epic stories of war, love, and heroism.  There is nothing like sitting listening to stories.  If it is around a fire it is even better.

I look forward to the day when Jesus and I will sit around a fire and he will tell me the epic stories.  He will say "I remember where I was at when Lucifer rebelled."  I will respond with "What was the battle like?  Were you afraid?  What did you do?"  He will continue with "I remember the day I took on human form and the great battle that took place that day. You should have seen the angels that day.  They were so brave and fought with such courage."  I will ask "What were the three days when you were dead like?  What was really going on during that time?  What was it like when you were reunited with Father?"

How amazing those story times will be!  They will go on for such a long time, but it will not matter.  All things will be perfect so I imagine that the smoke will never go in my eyes.  The fire will burn until we are finished.  I will not become tired.  It will be such an amazing experience.  This will be heaven.
